Hitting myself with a rock and a hard place at the moment.

Been talking to nick alot over skype and we were talking about how to improve my stuff.  He showed me some things of his mates and yep he is right again with practise.  Thing is how do people overcome stumps of wondering what the hell to do.

At the moment I have several options.

Fiddle about with win 7 or get a virtual box and skin and code BBlean.
Learn how to use Photoshop and create something there.
Mess about with cinema 4D and learn stuff with that - nicks advice
Learn how to do vectors - nicks advice
Read more tutorials on fractals.

I used Cinema 4D once in college, from what I remember I found it less confusing than Maya, but it was a fair few years ago now >,<
Vector's good for nice, crisp lines, I preferred using vector graphics for my graphics design work in college and uni as it just felt cleaner. There are times when a rougher outcome suits the piece or you don't need to worry about huge files or quality loss with enlargements.
I've never played with fractals, so I can offer no opinion in that area.
Now, since you wrote this last month, did you decide what to play with in the end?
